Door Number Three?

 (written in August 2012)

So, the coming presidential election looks like it is shaping up to be Obama and Romney. Going into this year I was hoping for a good candidate to run against Obama and it seemed like Romney is it but the more I see him on TV and the more I read about him the less I am enthused. Do not get me wrong, I would vote for just about anyone over Obama. Obama has plunged our country into debt, tarnished our reputation with our allies, pandered to the masses with outright lies and passed laws and orders that are completely illegal.

Ron Paul is touted by many to be naive, hypocritical or crazy. He may be a little crazy but do some research and you'll find this man has got his constitutional head on straight. His social views may be too conservative for some of my liberal friends out there but more important than what he wants to accomplish politically is HOW he wants to to it. He basically wants the states to function as they should (governing closer to the people and bringing the state together) and trim the un-wieldy Federal Government, INC. back to what it should be doing: working with inter-state issues and dealing with foreign nations.

I am still torn. If I was not worried about Mr. B. Hussein Obama being re-elected I think I might just vote for Ron Paul; but I am worried. I think Ron Paul (or someone like him) might be the meat this country is not ready for.

Hmmmmm..
